Suite 217, or ‘The Beamish Suite’, as it is fondly referred to within the hotel is part of the recent refurbishment of the building. Duck egg blue walls create a light airiness and sense of space, which is heightened by the south and southeast facing windows, framed in weighty and textured pale gold swag curtains. Notes of decadence are repeated in the princess style chandelier, which dances with the light beautifully during the day, and casts romantic shadows once darkness falls. This is what ‘getting away from it all’ really means. This is a space to treat yourself, but most importantly, that special person to. This is a room to make yourself at home in. Sink into the comfy couch, ideal for holiday lounging, reading, or snoozing. And for real luxury, retreat to the super king sized bed, dressed in pristine white cotton, and jeweled teal eiderdowns, set against a velvet-studded headboard.
