Humanist Ceremonies
In a diverse society many couples may now choose not to include a religious service in their wedding celebrations yet look for a ceremony venue other than a registry office. For these couples a Humanist Wedding offers the ideal solution. These ceremonies are designed to focus on music, words and spiritual readings. They portray an honesty and have a balance of solemnity, warmth and humour. These ceremonies are all about the couple celebrating their love for one another and making the commitment to each other in the company of those who matter the most to them.
If you and your partner have decided to have a humanist or spiritual ceremony for your wedding then Vienna Woods Hotel is the perfect location for you. Here at Vienna Woods Hotel we offer 3 different types of spacious venues accommodating both small groups of 10 to larger groups of up to 400 people. Spiritual and humanist weddings can be conducted indoors or outdoors, 7 days a week here at Vienna Woods Hotel, subject to availability of the Registrar/ solemniser and this venue. Vienna Woods Hotel offers a full wedding service around all spiritual and humanist weddings including room hire, dining and full wedding services. This hotel is registered to hold ceremonies and complies with all regulations around humanist ceremonies.
Information on Ceremonies

There is no requirement that you must be living in the district in which you wish to be married. There is a requirement of at least 3 months notification to a Registrar (this does not have to be one in your area).
The Guidelines for Marriage Venues are available on the General Registrar’s website, you must follow these guidelines to ensure your wedding is approved in advance. There will be an additional fee for a civil ceremony held in a venue other than a Registry Office. Wedding venues such as the open air, private dwellings and marquees are not permitted under their guidelines.
