Patricks Street is the hub of Corks shopping. It is the main street lined with a variety of shops with numerous side streets filled with even more restaurants, pubs and shops to explore. You can stop and have a break with a drink at Le Chateau Bar and watch people pass by on St Patricks Street. One of Corks favourite shopping street is just off St Patricks street called Opera Lane. It is an exciting retail and residential section of Cork. It is the prime shopping street in Cork filled with exciting retailers like GAP, Next, H&M, Starbucks, River Island & Top Shop.
Brown Thomas situated on St Patricks Street is three stories full of high end products from makeup to accessories to fashion to homeware. Brown Thomas is luxury shopping at its finest. Entering through the double doors you are surrounded by the smell of perfume and the sight of make-up stands. As you venture further in you will discover the accessories with various designer handbags to choose from. The men’s section off to the right and across the road have various choices from casual wear to formal suits. Upstairs you will find numerous brands of women’s fashion and when you venture further in you will find a shoe lovers heaven. Up on the third floor is completely different world with Nespresso Coffee to homewares galore to even a nails station, there’s something for everyone.
Vibes and Scribes is perfect for all the creative people coming to Cork with 2 stores, one for books and one for arts and crafts. Both stores allow the imagination to run wild whether it be the creation of an art piece or delving into a new book. Vibes and Scribes has a uniqueness to it that not all stores have, it gives that personal touch shown through their customer service and their passion for literature and art. One thing I love about Vibes and Scribes is that their book store is separated into new books and second-hand books, they allow you to sell your books for a couple of euros or a discount on another book. Perfect for when you are looking for a book that is no longer being sold.
