Culture Night 2021.
The sixteenth edition of culture night is taking place on the 17th of September this year and we thought why not get involved.
What is culture night?
Culture night is for the celebration of culture, creativity and the arts. The night’s organisers seek to actively promote the beliefs that this rich and varied culture is alive, treasured and nurtured in people’s lives, today and every day.
This year the theme for culture night is come together again.
Here at Cork’s Vienna Woods not only our unique history and charm makes up our culture but so does our staff. Our team consists of extremely diverse hardworking individuals who are from different walks of life and different places around the world.
Our staff consists of different cultures including, English, Hungarian, Polish, Brazilian, Latvian and many many others.
Here at Cork’s Vienna Woods Hotel, we embrace all different cultures.
We take great pride in our staff and embrace all the different cultures that we have present here.
We like to celebrate everyone's culture in our hotel and welcome people from all walks of life.
About some of our Staff
Our very own HR manager Kinga Houlding deals with hiring and retainment of staff, Kinga is from Hungary and has worked with us here since January of 2021. Kinga is from Budapest and loves Hungary for the festivals, their great food and stunning vineyards.
Our Mabel Crawford's Restaurant manager Marcin is from Poland. He has been living in Ireland for 12 years, and has studied in France and England prior to this. Marcin has worked in the hospitality industry his whole life and loves the environment He enjoys working with other people and helping other staff and our customers. His favorite thing about Poland is the people and the food.
Our Bar Manager Alan loves mixing up cocktails and working with the rest of our team to provide great drinks and beverages for our lovely customers. Alan is local from Cork, Ireland and he loves the Irish culture. He enjoys meeting new and different characters every day and the crac that Irish People Have.
Ellie who works in our reservations department is from Stratford England, Stratford is known as the birthplace of Shakespeare. Ellie has been with us for a couple of years and provides a great welome to our customers. Ellie is a hard-working indiviual who loves to be able to help people.
