What you will need,
200g Dark Chocolate
200g unsalted butter
3 large eggs or 4 medium
275g Light brown sugar
100g Plain flour
50g Cocoa Powder
When I made these the first time I had all the ingredients listed above and they were so yummy!! But when i went to make them again I didn't have some items and didn't want to venture out so i made use of what I had at home, if you are like me and don't have some of the items listed, this is what I used instead and they turned out just as delicious!
I used normal butter instead of unsalted, I used cadburys dairy milk chocolate instead of dark chocolate, and I used cadburys hot chocolate mix instead of cocoa powder. And let me tell you they tasted fabulous
Instructions,
Start by preheating your oven to 180c/160c fan and line your baking tray with parchment paper.
Melt your dark chocolate and butter together in a bowl in the microwave or in a bowl over a pot of boiling water, which ever is easier for you. Once melted take it out and let it cool.
In another bowl add your 3/4 eggs depending on size and your brown sugar. Using a whisk (electric if you have one) mix the eggs and sugar together for roughly 5 minutes or until the mixture has doubled in volume, is paler in colour and leave a trail for a few seconds when you take the whisk out.
Pour your chocolate and butter mix into the freshly whisked egg and sugar and fold it in very carefully.
Add in your flour and cocoa powder and again fold in gently.
Pour the mixture in to the baking tray you prepared earlier and place in the oven for 25-30 minutes
Eat and enjoy!!
