Activities in Cork.

Glanmire – The Rocky Road

We are lucky enough to have the most beautiful walk just on the doorstep of our hotel. It is known to the locals of Glanmire as the ‘Rocky Road’. Along the scenic walk, there is plenty of coffee stops to help keep your energy up throughout the 10Kish walk (walking from Cork’s Vienna Woods Hotel and back). The actual Rocky Road has a length of 0.7 kilometers but is part of a loop that takes you through the beautiful town that is Glanmire.

Fota Wildlife Park

Fota Wildlife Park is a 100 - acre wildlife park that is not even a 20-minute drive from Cork’s Vienna Woods Hotel. The park opened in 1983 and is an independently funded, not-for-profit charity and is one of the leading tourism, wildlife, and conservation attractions in Ireland.

Fota Wildlife Park is dedicated to the conservation of different animal species in danger of extinction. They have been awarded ‘Best Family Day Out’ for both Munster and Cork on numerous occasions.

Dining – When visiting Fota Wildlife Park, visitors have two options when dining. The Savannah Café and the Oasis Café. The Savannah Café is by the front entrance of the park and serves a variety of snacks, sandwiches, and hot meals where seating is available inside and outside. The Oasis Café is on the opposite end of the park.

Fota Wildlife Park is a great attraction in Cork for families, friend groups, and couples of all ages. Click here for some more information on Fota Wildlife Park.
